FlyOnE is now offering assistance to exisiting Galaxy owners to meet service interval requirements for your BRS systems by organising deliveries for the scheduled service of your parachute recovery system in a batch of 5-7 units at a time.
Sending a single unit back to the factory for the service interval can be very expensive, but by sending in batches of 4 or more, up to $1000 of the dangerous goods shipping cost is saved per system.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Your maintainer un installs and de activates the BRS in full.
2. The inert rocket and parachute are sent direct from you to Galaxy as standard freight (approx. AUD$300 with insurance)
3. We co ordinate your BRS and others in play to consolidate Czechia customs movements and return freight for a batch of up to 4. The more we can get in one batch, the lower the cost for each BRS
4. We co ordinate inwards customs movements of the batch to Sydney Australia.
5. Systems can be collected in person from the Sydney Customs handler. If required, we connect you to a domestic groud freight DG handler to get your system back to you.
These batches will happen once or twice a year depending on demand. A single system can be sent for service at any time but will attract a higher cost due to the expensive nature of shipping the 'Dangerous Goods' class rocket fuel assemblies.
Please note, we offer this assistance as a courtesy, we make little to no money out of the process and are merely co ordinating these batches in an efforet to save you money on the return Dangerous Goods freight costs.

Estimated turnaround time for a batch service parachute inspection/Rocket fuel repack is around 8-12 weeks but it has blown out longer than that in the past.
Pricing from Galaxy is FIXED, but the duty and handling fees can vary based on the return route from Czechia to Australia and the whim of the Dangerous Goods freight handlers and customs processing facility. We have no control over this. As such, to best manage expectation we recommend to budget up to AUD$8000 for the service interval end to end process all said and done. That way we will likely be able to over deliver on an underpromise... not the other way around.
Please also keep in mind, Sydney airport is the only airport that is permitted to recieve and process the DG freight, so there may be DG ground freight costs from Sydney to your location as well. DG ground transfer from Sydney to Perth can be up to $1500. This is handled directly between you and a 3rd party freight handler that we can connect you with.
Please remember, we do not profit from this. It actually takes quite a lot of work to co ordinate multiple people from around the country on a synchronised batch and the tiny little admin fee we charge does not at all cover the time invested in pulling it all together, so please be patient and courteous and understand that most of the costs are completely out of our hands, they are what they are.
Your aircraft may be elligible to continue to operate with permissible unserviceability of the parachute if it has been approved for this exemption with an acknowledgment issued by the manufacturer in accordance with CASA AC 21-28v1.1 (click for link) section 2.2.3.2
