TRIAL FLIGHT
Simply choose from the vouchers below to secure your trial flight, we'll get you booked at your preferred time and flight school!
The Trial introductory flight in an electric Pipistrel Aircraft is the best kickstart to your pilot journey and a brilliant way to see the local landscape from above.
There are less than 300 electric planes operating in the entire world, so flying in one is a very unique experience!
Your electric trial flight is essentially your first pilot training lesson.
It begins with a safety briefing and aircraft pre-flight inspection from your hosting instructor at an electric activated flight school, you will then prepare the aircraft for take-off and commence a 20-30 minute flight over the best local scenery where the instructor will hand over (guided) control of the aircraft for you to get a feel for the power of electric flight!
After completing some basic maneuvers and the unique capabilities of the electric aircraft, you'll return to the departure airport (or alternate airport if pre-arranged) for a safe landing and debriefing.
It is our hope that you are completely hooked and continue your journey with us to become a private recreational pilot, or even on to a commercial pilot's license in the Skycademy electric pilot training curriculum.
The electric trial flight is a great first exposure to electric sports aviation. You'll feel the magic of electric flight in the amazing Pipistrel Electro aircraft and experience something not many people in the world have experienced.. flying electric!

Making pilot training more affordable
Electric aviation presents new pilots (and training schools!) with an amazing cost saving. The massively reduced service and maintenance schedule of electric aircraft, coupled with lower energy-per-hour usage, means that our flight school partners can offer you, the new recruit, far greater value using electric trainer aircraft.
Starting with your recreational Pilot Certificate, you will learn to fly solo in a Light Sport aircraft, giving you the opportunity to build your skills and confidence in low-cost electric aircraft. Then, when you are ready to progress to a PPL, you can complete an RPL conversion and take on your next stage of navigational training in a GA electric aircraft, arriving at your PPL with at least $5K less cost than in an ICE aircraft. With far fewer emissions!
