CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations by us:
If we need to cancel the flight on the day due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, we will attempt to contact you, and offer to either re-schedule your flight at no charge or give you a full refund. It's your choice.
Cancellations by you:
If you request cancellation of a booked flight, administration fees will apply.
Those fees are:
More than 48 hours ahead, $100.
One day ahead of your booked flight $150.
Cancellations on the day of your flight are non-refundable.
RESCHEDULING
Rescheduling by us:
Sometimes we are unable to service your flight at exactly the time that is on the booking. If we need to reschedule your flight on the day due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, we will reschedule your flight at no charge to a different time on the same day.
Rescheduling by you:
If you request rescheduling of a booked flight, administration fees will apply.
Those fees are:
More than 48 hours ahead, $100.
One day ahead of your booked flight $150.
Rescheduling on the day of your flight will be considered a last minute cancellation. See "Cancellations by you" above. We prefer to make our service as flexible as possible and, at our discretion, may reduce or waive the above fees.
Rescheduled flights put on "Hold":
A rescheduled service might not be able to be rescheduled immediately to a known time, and will in that case be put on hold. The amount paid for a flight put on hold can be used as a credit towards the same service, or any other of our services. Our prices may change with time and a balance may be required when booking at a later date. Flights put on hold are considered a temporary arrangement and will need to be re-booked as soon as possible. Flights put on hold for any reason can not be refunded later on. Flights put on hold for longer than 12 months will expire and can no longer be used.
FORCE MAJEURE
Safety is our highest priority. Occasionally flights will be cancelled or delayed due to safety concerns, legal obligations, staff shortages or other events. We can not be responsible for any costs or inconveniences to passengers as a result of delays or cancellations. Travel insurance is recommended if this is a concern for you.
COVID-19 AND TRAVELING ILL
Our livelihood depends on the health of our staff. We cannot operate with staff who catch illness from our passengers, even if it is the common cold. If you have cold or flu-like symptoms, we will offer to either re-schedule your flight at no charge or give you a full refund. It’s your choice. Having said that, ANY ATTEMPT to fly with us WITH SYMPTOMS will incur CANCELLATION fees. However, if your symptoms are mild and you bring a mask - and wear it - that would be a really good alternative to having your flight canceled.
BOOKINGS MADE INCORRECTLY
All bookings - whether made online or by direct contact with us - include times, dates and departure locations. These are displayed prominently on your booking confirmation. We expect you to check the details of your booking immediately you have received it. We will reschedule bookings made in error - that have been notified to us immediately on reciept - at no charge. Cancellation, if requested, will still incur fees. Corrections notified to us more than 24 hours after you have made your booking will be refunded according to our rescheduling policy. We will not refund no-shows due to wrongly made bookings.
PAYMENT CONDITIONS
Our services are not booked, nor can they be considered reserved until payment, or a deposit, is received. If a deposit is accepted, an email with a payment link will request the balance a week prior to your flight.
LUGGAGE and WEIGHT
Small aeroplane luggage space is, well... small. Airline check-in suitcases will sometimes NOT FIT in small aeroplanes. Check your luggage dimensions against displayed limits when booking your flight with Rottnest Air-Taxi.
Weight limits are strict legal limits and cannot be exceeded. Dangerous goods cannot be carried. This means no e-scooters or similar powered items.
PASSENGERS and WEIGHT
Maximum individual passenger weight 150kg. Passengers from 120kg to 150kg should call to discuss prior to booking. Due flight planning, last minute increases in passenger numbers might not be possible to accommodate, even if within maximum limits.

DEPARTURE TIME
Please attend Jandakot Airport at least 20 MINUTES before your scheduled departure. ALLOW TIME FOR TRAFFIC WHEN DRIVING TO JANDAKOT AIRPORT. Late arrivals may be considered non-refundable "no shows" or will incur delays and costs due to the need to service other bookings.
CHAUFFEUR PICK-UP/DROP OFF
If booked as a part of your Air Taxi service, your electric vehicle chauffeur will arrive at your requested pick-up address at a time that allows enough transit time to get you to the airport with 20 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time.
Your Chauffeur will contact you directly on the day of your pick-up to confirm times and location.
AIR-TAXI DEPARTURE LOCATION - JANDAKOT
Our departure location is 10 Eagle Drive, JANDAKOT AIRPORT.
Look BOTH sides of the road! We are by the carpark OPPOSITE THE ROYAL FLYING DOCTOR SERVICE. Look for the sign that says “Rottnest Air-Taxi". Please do not park where the sign says “Minovation customers only”. If our office is unattended when you arrive, please relax – your pilot will be with you shortly.
ARRIVING AT ROTTNEST
Your flight will arrive at Rottnest Island Airport. All entry fees for Rottnest Island are already included in your ticket price, so you do not need to pay any extra fees. Your hotel will pick you up from the airport if you tell them in advance what time you are arriving. Alternatively, there is a regular shuttle bus into town, or you can walk the 900 meters along the road.
STAYING OVERNIGHT ON ROTTNEST
Please tell your accommodation that you are flying with Rottnest Air-Taxi and what time you are landing (Normally 15 minutes after your departure from Perth). Rottnest Island Authority accommodation provide a luggage pickup from the airport PROVIDED YOU ADVISE THEM IN ADVANCE!
LUGGAGE AND WEIGHT
Individual item size limit Length + Depth + Height = 145cm. MAXIMUM LUGGAGE 45kg TOTAL IN THE AEROPLANE! Eskies, large suitcases, strollers and other large items may be impossible to load. Rather than a suitcase, pack two smaller soft bags instead. Dive tanks, e-scooters, camping stoves, surfboards, bicycles, or any dangerous goods cannot be carried.
PASSENGERS AND WEIGHT
Maximum weight INCLUDING luggage 300kg. Weight limits are strict legal limits and cannot be exceeded. Your group may be weighed on arrival at the airport, and if you are over the limit you will need to pay for an extra flight. Please advise Rottnest Air-Taxi in advance if any individual passengers exceed 120kg in weight.
